Joanna Laursen Brucker

As Knology’s CEO, Joanna is dedicated to building partnerships that show organizations how social science can be used to solve complex problems, maximize impacts, and build new capacities. An educator by training, over the course of her 10 years at Knology, she has led collaborations with museums, libraries, schools, and a variety of other educational organizations and professional associations — both at the national and local level. Committed to partner-centered, community-focused work, her goal is to help facilitate conversations between research and practice in ways that equip professionals with the tools and data needed to solve real-world problems in real time. Prior to Knology, Joanna served as an educational coordinator for formal and informal educational programs, and collaborated with local governments to build inclusive education curriculum in Kosovo and Ethiopia. She holds a Masters in International Education Policy from Harvard University.
