Joseph Fridman

Joseph Fridman joined Knology as a Research Fellow in 2022. Joseph works at the intersection of science, communications, and policy. His day job is in the sociotechnical studio on the creative team at Ginkgo Bioworks, and he works on the side as a host and coordinator of Beyond the Ivory Tower, which will offer 15 free workshops for academics from 2021-2026. He is a co-founder of Psychgeist Media and is the executive director of Sound Education. He has studied neuroscience, the history of science, journalism, law, and business, and has produced popular media with hundreds of researchers. He lives in Astoria, Queens with two ragdoll cats and a climate scientist.
