Rupu is a conservation psychologist, trained in applied social psychology with expertise in mixed-methods research methodologies and data analysis. Rupu leads Knology’s Biosphere research, focusing on inclusive practices in the environmental movement, community resilience, and culturally responsive evaluation. She studies processes that enable effective partnerships between groups and how these lead to equitable engagement with nature for a wide range of audiences. She also studies the environment as a pathway to learning STEM in informal contexts. Rupu is Program Chair of the American Evaluation Association’s Environmental Programming Topical Interest Group. She has also served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Conservation Psychology at Hunter College, CUNY.
