Erin is a writer and editor at Knology, and a current PhD Candidate in Anthropology at The New School. She has spent the last decade working on interdisciplinary teams with social scientists exploring a diverse range of topics, including: the student debt crisis among older Americans, the costs of being a retirement-age caregiver, the intersections of monetary policy development and colonialism, the processes of quantification that condition disaster response, and the development of innovative participatory research methods. Additionally, Erin has edited books with Oxford University Press, UCL Fringe Press, and University of California Press. Erin’s PhD research explores slow and relational activist practices, with a focus on the British anti-poverty movement.
