Paul Boyle

Paul is a founding member of the board. He is currently the National Director of the American Humane Certified Program, which oversees the certification of the world’s best zoos, aquariums, and conservation centers for humane animal practices. He has over thirty years of experience directing nature-based nonprofits and leading the creation of conservation, environmental research, and public education and exhibit programs. Formerly, he was Senior VP of Conservation, Education, and Science at the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). Paul is the founder of The Ocean Project, a global initiative to increase awareness of the crucial roles the ocean plays in human survival. Earlier, he was Director of the New York Aquarium and its Osborn Laboratories and served on the AZA Board of Directors.
