Robert Davis

Trustee

Robert (Bert) became a board member in 2018. He is President & CEO at America’s Black Holocaust Museum, and the outgoing Board Vice-Chair for the American Alliance of Museums (AAM). Trained as a zoological veterinarian, he has served in senior leadership positions in museums, zoos, and aquariums for nearly 30 years. He has advocated for diversity, accessibility, equity and inclusion across the profession, leading these as well as many other initiatives for AAM and the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. He is committed to advancing human rights and environmental justice, and serves as a voice for these issues nationally. Robert joined the board because of his support for the leadership of the organization and their commitment to empower change-makers with interdisciplinary social science research by being critical thinkers, developing strong alliances and advancing public discourse.
