Christina Shane-Simpson

In 2016, Christina received her Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from The Graduate Center, CUNY, where she focused her doctoral studies on gender identity development in online spaces. Christina is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin, Stout where she studies cross-cultural uses of online spaces, online identity development, and the needs of marginalized populations in online environments. At the University of Wisconsin and as a Research Fellow at Knology, Christina also explores the efficacy of innovative technologies designed to increase student engagement in the online and offline classroom.
